One hectare (around 2.5 acres). 72% whole bunch, four out of six barrels were new. Barrel sample.
Deep cherry red with gorgeously ripe but fresh dark-red fruit. Expressive and open. Succulent and full of fruit with compact, light-boned tannins. Again winemaker Michel Mallard has worked magic here with these beautiful tannins. Peppery finesse and a long, long finish. Power and fragrance. Drive plus finesse. There’s power in the fruit. (JH)
