Tasted at the Comte Liger-Belair vertical at the Château de Vosne. The 2013 Echézeaux Grand Cru, which had been bottled in March, was already showing sophistication on the nose - great purity here with candied orange peel dallying with wild strawberry and raspberry coulis. The palate is medium-bodied with fine supple tannin. There is some new oak to be assimilated as you would expect, but like the previous vintage it is the substance and freshness on the finish that really elevates this over Louis-Michel's first vintages.
Deep crimson. Bright colour. Light nose, fine and the densest wine from this stable. Not really ready but still the finesse. All sinews rather than flesh. Bright fruited.?
