Bursting with aromas of blackberries, plums, cassis, rich forest floor and black truffle, Roty's 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Village is medium to full-bodied, velvety and enveloping, with rich structuring tannins and a generous core of fruit. Lively and penetrating, if this vintage is overall a rather long-haul proposition chez Roty, this is one cuvée that's unusually approachable young.
A fruity, sophisticated style, with a smooth texture accompanied by toasty oak. Cherry and berry flavors form the core, while mineral and earth elements add interest. Shows excellent harmony and length.
