A rich, fleshy version, saturated with cherry, wild strawberry, earth, iron and tobacco flavors. More powerful than nuanced, with a dense structure, excellent balance and long aftertaste. Best from 2027 through 2043.
A deeply pitched yet still quite cool nose reflects notes of red and dark cherry, freshly turned earth and pretty floral wisps. There is both excellent delineation and underlying tension suffusing the moderately dense medium weight flavors that also flash focused power and ample minerality on the youthfully austere, dusty and balanced finale. Lovely and quite understated in style.
One of the paler colours, red fruit and oak together. The oak is slightly taking the foreground at the moment. Simple and slightly sweet cherry raspberry fruit. Two barrels, one of them one year old. Drink from 2025-2030.
