The 2015 Pommard 1er Cru Les Fremiers has a well-defined bouquet with joyful redcurrant and wild strawberry aromas that are very well defined, very Pinote! The palate is medium-bodied with silky tannin, very pure, mineral-rich fruit here, tensile and energetic with superb cohesion and harmony towards the compelling finish. This is an excellent expression of the oft-underrated vineyard Les Fremiers from Louis Boillot and it comes highly recommended.

There is enough reduction present to render an evaluation of the nose difficult. The lush, even opulent medium-bodied flavors possess fine concentration and solid power but here too the finish is just dry enough that it detracts somewhat from the overall sense of harmony plus the length is cut slightly short. To be fair this isn't a flawed effort but the balance isn't textbook.
