The 2017 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru (Domaine Louis Jadot) offers up notions of wild berries, candied peel, peaty soil and grilled meats. On the palate, it's full-bodied, chewy but comparatively succulent and open-knit by this cuvée's standards, concluding with a pure and nicely delineated finish. It's a solid effort, but it isn't one of the high points of the portfolio.
