The 2013 Echézeaux Grand Cru has a refined and elegant bouquet with raspberry and fresh strawberry, delicate floral scents emerging with time. The palate is very elegant with a superb line of acidity. This Echézeaux feels very poised with abundant freshness on the sorbet-like finish that just needs to develop a little more persistence by the time of bottling. This is a classy Grand Cru and one of my picks from the domaine this year.
Leans toward the fruity side, with black cherry and incense flavors. Tightens up on the finish, blossoming with air to find balance. Pure, juicy and firmly structured.
