The 2012 Vosne-Romanee 1er Cru Les Beaux Monts has a pure dark cherry, black plum scented bouquet with hints of blood orange and plenty of mineralite. The oak is beautifully folded in to the fruit profile. The palate is very harmonious with great tension, a symmetrical focus with plenty of energy and frisson on the finish that electrifies the senses. This may be the best Les Beaux Monts in 2012.

Shows some slight reduction on the nose initially, revealing black cherry, black currant and violet flavors, all focused and elegant. Finishes long and savory.
