Jasper Morris MW: ‘Cuvée du Kalimeris, which is a sort of daisy. From 5 producers and they all have many plots. So this is a universal Corton-Charlemagne. Pale lemon colour, lots of energy on the nose including a little bit of the banana fruit. Lovely mineral acidity behind, this lingers very nicely.
Tropical, ripe fruit: pineapple, mango, starfruit. Honey too, and a spiciness that you could swear is oak. Superb intensity and weight on the palate – real grand cru status. A showboater. Instant volume and intensity without excess flab. All in balance. (RH)
