Deep garnet-purple. Complex notes of warm cassis, blackberries, mocha, forest floor and a touch of truffles. The medium to full bodied palate is solidly structured with a great backbone of high acidity and medium to firm, finely grained tannins. Layer upon layer of dark berry and earth flavours. Very long finish. Drink now to 2019. Tasted March 2009
Incredible class here, with ultrafine tannins and layers of currants, berries and lightly toasted oak. Full-bodied, yet all in harmony and beauty. Beautifully sculptured. Excellent length. Not quite the 1998, but clearly classic. Best after 2005. 12,920 cases made
Dark ruby garnet, purple reflections, broader water edge. Attractive heart cherry fruit, DELICATE tangerine zest, floral touch, DELICATE mint, very closed at the moment. Juicy, highly elegant, fine extract sweetness, silky but firm tannins, DELICATE hints of chocolate and nougat, seems light on its feet, has immense length, yet this great wine should be given some more time to fully appreciate. Lock away!!!.
