From a vineyard next to the forest, the 2022 Langenmorgen G.C. offers a deep, intense and coolish bouquet of ripe fruits, crushed stones, white pepper and iodine. The nose remains a bit reductive at this early stage, but it's very elegant, precise and promising. Full-bodied, saline and crystalline on the palate, this is a dense yet refined and elegant, well balanced and even juicy Riesling with a long, saline finish and concentrated fruit. The wine has a refined, mineral or saline acidity that leads to a long, and in a certain way, powerful and intense but not alcoholic finish. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in November 2023.
Staggering citrusy intensity and complexity on the nose! On the super-concentrated palate this starts so gently, but it gains drive as it marches with great determination into the distance. Super-stony finish with great saltiness and savoriness. Just beginning to open up with so much potential for the next years and decades. From biodynamically grown grapes. Wild-fermented in large neutral oak. Vegan. Drink or hold.
