Tasted blind at the annual “Burgfest” tasting in Bouilland. The 2013 Meursault 1er Cru Poruzots has a refined bouquet with apple blossom, citrus peel and oyster shell aromas, nicely defined with well integrated oak. The palate is well balanced with bitter lemon and orange zest on the entry. This feels tight, linear, tightly wound, a Meursault unwilling to give much away at the moment. This is one for the patient because there is quality evident here. Tasted May 2016.
