Aromas of sweet red berries, orange rind, plums and rose petals introduce the 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet Vieilles Vignes Rouge, a medium-bodied, pretty and charming wine with melting tannins and a perfumed finish.
From Les Pierres and Poiriers du Clos, more than 50 years old vines. Not too deep in colour, a good weight of destemmed fruit here, vinified with a light hand, with no sulphur addition until the racking. Pretty and stylish, not weighty. Good length, an attractive wine to drink young.
