The ripe apple, mineral, and toast-scented 2000 Montrachet is a concentrated, intense, and deep wine. It reveals an appealing vinous quality, loads of spiced pear flavors, and a backward characteristic. It is, at present, youthfully tight, certainly not to the extent of the Batard, however. This wine's finish is exceptionally long, loaded with flavor, and reveals enormous depth of fruit.
