The 2021 Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru is also a notable success, wafting from the glass with aromas of rich smoky berries, cherries and forest floor, followed by a full-bodied, ample and layered palate that's textural and multidimensional, combining the typical mid-palate volume of this site with the charm and delicacy of the vintage to compelling effect.
The Clos e Bèze returned a full crop of 35 hl/ha. Crimson purple, a light reduction fractionally hides the fruit on the nose for the moment. Magical on the palate, raspberry and roses, a slightly eggy touch at the back from the late malolactic fermentation, I think. A little more structure behind and great length. A very complete wine.
