The 2019 Vosne-Romanée Village mingles aromas of wild berries, cassis and cherries with hints of orange rind, spices and toasty new oak. Medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy, with a ripe but lively core of fruit, it's a gourmand, dramatic wine from Rouget.
More evident wood frames the spicier aromas of red and blue pinot fruit that includes notes of star anise, tangerine peel, exotic tea and a hint of sandalwood. The succulent, round, seductive and suave medium-bodied flavors coat the palate while displaying excellent length on the youthfully austere and lingering finish where the only nit is a hint of warmth.
