Pale ruby-brick colour. The nose is complex beginning with a faint waft of musky, slightly mushroomy, warm raspberry fruit followed by undergrowth, cassia, cloves, white pepper, tobacco and finally, after some minutes of swirling, fragrant violets burst from the glass. The palate is concentrated with a medium+ level of very fine tannins and medium to high acidity. Very long finish.
