The 2016 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Lavières has a clean and pure, more generous and fruit-driven bouquet than the Charmois, with blackcurrant, raspberry and hints of crushed violet. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, well-judged acidity and an attractive oyster shell note that tinctures that black fruit on the finish. Very fine.

Precocious and well integrated. Bright fruit and racy and red-cherry fruit. Good pace, quite a bit of tannin.
