Jasper Morris MW: Lovely mid purple, beautifully classy, this has avoided all the perils, brilliant balance, raspberry and strawberry living in harmony, a little touch of freshness at the back, waves of gentle graceful fruit.
Succulent red fruit, almost syrupy on the nose. Plenty of sweet spices. If this isn’t oaked, it’s doing an uncanny impression of it. Finely ground tannin that gives quite a lot of chew. The finish is surprisingly intense and powerful after a reasonably straightforward palate, with a hint of smoke. (RH)
