One supply from Charmes and one from Mazoyères. Glowing crimson purple, enthusiastic sweet cherry notes but good acidity behind. A little orange blossom in with the red fruit. There is plenty of exuberance here but the wine remains fresh.
From a parcel located in Charmes, down-slope from Chambertin, this is slightly backwards at present, with a bit of reduction, but behind these aromas there is plenty of sumptuous, bright red berry fruit. The texture is firm and fresh, with the grip and intensity to age well. Although it does not have the intensity or persistence of the Chambertin, it resembles it in its vibrant elegance and balance.
