Bright pink purple with a bouquet that could suggest whole bunches, only there are none. This is one of the floral, lacily detailed examples of Echezeaux followed by a little earthiness at the back, with grainy tannins. Still working itself out but I think this will be exciting.
Deep cherry hue; smokiness and deep red- and blackberry fruits. There is iron, and structure but not overtly handsome or robust after the Clos de Vougeot. Very pleasing and engaging. Lovely wine. (MH)
