The 2013 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru has a withdrawn bouquet at the moment and it that takes time to unfurl before it reveals, albeit reluctantly, quite pronounced sous-bois scents that are more pronounced vis-à-vis Meo-Camuzet’s other 2013s. The palate is medium-bodied with “stringy” tannins: quite grippy in the mouth, with length, if not the finesse that a more benevolent vintage would have bestowed. I was expecting just a little more from this Clos de Vougeot.
