Dense, masculine, and muscular, the 1998 Barolo Brunate displays abundant quantities of blackberry and cherry liqueur aromas intertwined with vanilla, licorice, tobacco, and rose petals. The new oak is brilliantly absorbed by this medium to full-bodied, sweet, expansively-flavored Barolo.
Intense white truffle aromas, with grilled meat and ripe fruit underneath. Full-bodied, with wonderfully soft flavors of dried fruit and toasty oak that turn to coffee and chocolate. This is a complete and beautiful wine. It's just starting to come around now. Just getting better with age.--
