Exhibiting aromas of pear, white currant, fresh melon and peach, the 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru La Romanée is full-bodied, satiny and layered, with a textural attack that segues into a deep and concentrated mid-palate that's underpinned by racy acids, concluding with a long and chalky finish.
From two plots in the lower part of the vineyard. This starts discreetly but develops into a beautiful bottle behind, the sandalwood is back, along with some lime blossom, and excellent acidity. Something really delicious to look forward to in 3 to 5 years time.
