The 2008 Meursault Villages is quite simply a fabulous wine, as good a village cru as you will find anytime, anyplace, anywhere. It has a stunning bouquet with quite brilliant delineation and detail: wet limestone, fresh lime and sea spray. The palate is beautifully balanced and seems to have such electricity flowing through it. There is impressive minerality from start to its Puligny-like finish. One of the finest of recent vintages from Coche-Dury and highly recommended if you have the pennies.
