A whiff of the exotic lurks in the background of the ripe and fresh aromas of apple and pear compote, citrus confit, lychee nut and an agreeably subtle application of wood. There is slightly better complexity to the larger-scaled flavors that possess plenty of dry extract on the focused, powerful and impressively long finish that also really fans out as it sits on the palate.
A fuller yellow colour. Chunky and weighty, perhaps waxy, plenty of weight here, a little salty acidity, though I do not quite see the nobility. Plump fruit up front, but I would like to see a little more tension behind.
