Burghound (92)

Here too there is a whiff of exotic character to the ripe aromas of pear liqueur, straw and a hint of matchstick. I like the seductive texture of the generously proportioned but very punchy middle weight flavors that display good length on the solidly complex finale. This isn't especially refined but there is good balance and mid-term development potential.

Pale lemon and lime, with both a refined bouquet and intensity behind. “The inimitable Clos Blanc” says Sylvie. So much fruit detail here, both the sharper styles such as fresh apple, through a whole range of pears but stopping short of peach or anything tropical. All white fruit, excellent taffeta texture, great length.
