The 2011 Montrachet Grand Cru (Marquis de Laguiche) has a precocious bouquet with vivacious scents of almond, blood orange, vanilla and lemon sorbet that leap from the glass and gain intensity with each swirl. The palate is very well-balanced with a silver thread of acidity. This superb Montrachet is nicely poised, very controlled and refined toward the finish. You could almost drink this now, but it should be afforded several years cellaring.
