Bruno told me that he will pull up part of the vineyard in 2015, so best nab current vintages whilst you can. The 2013 Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Cazetiers has a perfumed, floral bouquet with shimmering raspberry and wild strawberry scents that are seductive, even at this premature stage. The palate is medium-bodied with candied red fruit, well-judged acidity and an energetic finish that feels long and sensual. Gorgeous! Scribble out premier cru on the label and right grand cru – nobody will begrudge you.
Mid crimson. Intensely perfumed fruit. Tightly packed bitter cherry fruit and a dry finish. Everything is tucked in here but it is very youthful and the acidity is making its presence felt.?
