This is dense and packed solid with black cherry, black currant, violet and spice flavors. Monolithic now, it appears to have all the components in place for a long evolution. The ripe fruit finish bodes well for the future.?
Notably ripe yet still fresh and pretty aromas speak of liqueur-like dark berry fruit, earth, game and a floral top note. I very much like the sense of vibrancy present on the more refined but still sizeable big-bodied flavors that are a touch less muscular while still offering ample power and punch on the firm, serious and impressively long finish. Like the Epenots there is a touch of backend dryness but here it is much more subtle and thus I have fewer concerns that it will eventually age out.
