There's also a single barrel of the 2019 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru, a perfumed, expressive wine that bursts with aromas of beeswax, pear, citrus blossom, orange oil and white flowers. Full-bodied, satiny and bright, it's pure and precise, with fine cut and a demonstrative, charming profile. This year, I'm inclined to give the nod to Colin's Bâtard as the finest of his two grands crus, but they are both shaping up very nicely.
